Headstones alongside roadways, behind stone walls, in church yards, and on family farms in a common site throughout New England. Ashford is no exception, with burial sites from before the revolution and graveyards found in nearly every section of town. The gravesites of Ashford provide a record of our history, boasting both prominent townspeople with surprisingly modest gravestones, and surprisingly prominent markers for some of our more modest citizens.

Babcock Cemetery

Located off of Fitts road near the Ashford Town Green, The namesake family of this burial ground included several prominent members of Ashford Society, and donated much of the funding for both the Babcock Library and the Babcock Band.
